AmTryke, one of the major AMBUCS ambilities projects, is promoted nationally at over sixty demonstration sites in the nation. The AmTryke, unlike the traditional tricycle/bike, can be powered by the hands as well as the feet. Besides providing the fun of a traditional trike, it also serves as an adjunct to physical therapy.
The Tri-City Chapter of Clearwater encourages businesses and other groups to sponsor AmTrykes at facilities within the area, thereby providing joy and therapy to children at service centers whose clients include children. AMBUCS provides the contributing business /enterprise exposure through an engraved label on the AmTryke, showing the name of the contributing enterprise.

The local chapter, TriCity AMBUCS of Clearwater, initiated the Before the Fall program, and it has become one of the major projects of the national AMBUCS organization.
Designed and engineered to brace itself during every direction of pull, the popular "grab bars" are available through TriCity Chapter of AMBUCS. Revenues from the sale of these specially designed bars go toward funding AMBUCS philanthropic projects. The TriCity Chapter allocates funds from its budget for providing these special bars to the elderly who cannot affort to buy them.

AMAZE: Applied Magic, the Arts and Zany Entertainment
Jim Greiner, professional engineer and magician, offers programs to raise funds for the Chapter's community projects. Jim demonstrates how to "engineer" your own comedy magic. In a hands-on, relaxed atmosphere. He shows audiences how to create and apply comedy magic to reinforce a message, evoke laughter while having fun helping people. Jim's sessions explore many ideas: "Make your own brochure a magic trick"; "Make your message a song"; and "Make your own cheap tricks."

Humor Therapy: Using Humor to Promote Health
The TriCity Chapter contributes each year to the National program of Scholarships for Physical Therapists. Included in the Chapter's health related goals is the production of laughter for easing pain and generally establishing positive attitudes for augmentation of healing. Besides visits to hospitals and Hospice centers, the Chapter supports other groups which make laughter a positive force. Magic Shows
To call Mr. Bill Dahlquist as a magician is a Clearwater truism. He has entertained thousands in the Tampa-Clearwater area and has made a reputation among business clients as well as human service organizations. His engagements have ranged from appearances before the College of Medicine to a Boy Scout show at Mac Dill Air Force Base. Often he partners with Jim Greiner as the two provide magic shows on behalf of the TriCity Chapter.
